It won’t solve the problem but it will make you feel better. Do you think installing the latest BIOS would address the memory issue? October 13, , I’m afraid I have more or less run out of ideas. Which version of Windows 7 you are using and is it 32 or 64 bit? Hi there, I would hope so but I can’t be sure as the notes given for the Updates don’t mention Memory but an update to the CPU code is mentioned and this could resolve the problem.

As it is occurring when you are stressing the CPU it could be a CPU temperature warning and this is often the case if the alarm is enabled and the temperature setting is set to low.
If I was faced with sojnd situation I would: Does the sound still play up when you use headphones? The memory is set to “auto” and running at mhz unganged mode and works OK, but the ram is rated at mhz and the motherboard supports it in the BIOS 5.
Hi, Audio in Windows 7 soujd shouldn’t be causing you this much grief and I’m very surprised that after installing a Sound Blaster card that you are still having issues.

Do you have any power conditioning such as an UPS? If you do flash BIOS you can always Flash back to your present one in the same way so you don’t need to worry about that.
Have you done a thorough anti-virus scan of all drives and USB pens etc? Remember, when all else fails a cup of tea and a good swear will often help!
Have you checked to see what sampling rate you are using? It is always harder to diagnose from just the symptoms without the hardware in front of you to souhd.
